In this project, we reconstructed roads and distributed food, which are essential for supporting and rehabilitating marginalized communities. We reconstructed the a10950m road between Dara- e-Gharmi and Khash e-Gharmi villages of Badakhshan Province. A total number of 1,348 direct beneficiaries received food packages (Wheat Flour, Pulses, Vegetable Oil and Iodized Salt). We established a Community Based Food for Work Program. Almost 4500 people living in the surrounding area received improved social services such as health, education and access to local market. Children’s access to school is increased, Local CDs are empowered, and women are learning the skills for cooking and gardening.
