In this project, we promoted entrepreneurship among 2,000 Afghan female youth in Herat, Farah and Bamyan provinces by identifying entrepreneurs, providing grants, and offering technical support for sustainable job creation. The project increased potential for employment and higher earnings among young Afghan women and men in rural and semi-rural areas. We conducted entrepreneurial skills training among unskilled and illiterate Afghan youth. The 2000 female attendees received a $500 USD grant to start their business with additional counseling.
